Description:
A flaw in Cisco Secure Firewall Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Software and Cisco Secure Firewall Threat Defense (FTD) Software may allow an authenticated, local attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the underlying operating system with root-level privileges. The issue stems from insufficient input validation of user-supplied commands. An attacker could exploit this by authenticating to a device and submitting crafted input for specific commands, potentially gaining root-level access to the underlying operating system.
