CVE-2025-38516

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description: The Linux kernel contains a flaw where user-space can trigger a kernel BUG() by requesting pins with an invalid intr detection width setting for interrupts. Specifically, running a command like gpiomon -c 0 113 on RB2 can cause a crash in the msm gpio irq set type() function. The issue arises from registering pins without proper interrupt detection width configuration, leading to an invalid request from user-space.
Recommendations: At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
