Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description:
A flaw was discovered in the Linux kernel’s
libwx component related to the resetting of Rx ring descriptors. When a device reset is triggered by feature changes, such as toggling Rx VLAN offload, the wx->do reset() function is called to reinitialize Rx rings. However, the hardware descriptor ring may retain stale values from previous sessions, potentially leading to the construction of malformed SKBs.Recommendations:
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
