Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Vermillion FTP Daemon (vftpd) versions through 1.31
Description:
The Vermillion FTP Daemon (vftpd) contains a memory corruption issue triggered by a malformed FTP PORT command. The flaw is due to an out-of-bounds array access during input parsing, potentially allowing an attacker to manipulate stack memory and execute arbitrary code. Exploitation requires direct access to the FTP service and is limited to a single execution attempt if the daemon is installed as a Windows service.
Recommendations:
Versions prior to 1.32 are recommended.
Fix
