Description
An access control issue in the component form2WlanBasicSetup.cgi allows unauthenticated attackers to set the 2.4G and 5G wlan service of the device via a crafted POST request to the
/form2WlanBasicSetup.cgi endpoint. This issue is related to deficiencies in access control. The exploitation of this issue may allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code using a specially crafted HTTP POST request.Recommendations
As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the
form2WlanBasicSetup.cgi component until a patch is available.
Restrict access to the form2WlanBasicSetup.cgi endpoint to minimize the risk of exploitation.
Avoid using the form2WlanBasicSetup.cgi component in the affected device until the issue is resolved.
