CVE-2024-57805

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue concerns the Linux kernel's ASoC: SOF: Intel: hda-dai component, where the link DMA should not be released on a stop trigger, as a stream re-start might occur without closing the stream. This leaves a short time for other streams to 'steal' the linkDMA, resulting in mixed up link DMA channels, firmware errors, or crashes. The issue is not easy to reproduce under normal conditions but can be triggered by interrupting and restarting streams in a specific manner.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
