Description The issue concerns a vulnerability in the Linux kernel where a disk revalidation changing the conventional zones bitmap of a disk could cause invalid memory references when using the disk zone is conv() helper. To resolve this, the disk zone is conv() function is modified to operate under the RCU read lock, and a new function disk set conv zones bitmap() is added to update the disk conv zones bitmap pointer using rcu replace pointer() with the disk zone wplugs lock spinlock held.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
