Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
The issue is related to the ASoC: Intel: sof sdw component in the Linux kernel. The code uses the
initialised member of the asoc sdw dailink struct to determine if a member of the array is in use. However, when the array is completely full, this leads to an access 1 past the end of the array. To resolve this, the array is expanded by one entry to include a space for a terminator.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
