Description A memory leak was identified and resolved in the nvif vmm ctor() function within the drm/nouveau/nvif module of the Linux kernel. The issue occurred when the nvif vmm type was invalid, leading to memory not being freed. The fix involves setting the return value to -EINVAL and proceeding to a 'done' state to ensure proper memory deallocation.
