Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A flaw exists in the Linux kernel related to the ALSA subsystem and the tas2781 driver. A wrong reference to
tasdevice priv was set to h->hda priv instead of h->priv during calibration data management unification. This resulted in memory corruption and potential system crashes. The issue stems from the use of a void pointer, which prevented the compiler from detecting the error.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
