Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A kernel NULL pointer dereference issue was resolved in the drm/amdkfd subsystem. The problem occurred when the KFD debugfs was destroyed before the KFD work queue, leading to a crash when attempting to remove process entries from a non-existent debugfs directory. This was triggered by the order of operations during KFD destruction, specifically when the
/sys/kernel/debug/kfd directory was removed before the kfd process destroy wq work queue completed.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
