Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel has been resolved, related to the drm/amdkfd module. The issue occurs when the
kfd process wq release() function signals the eviction fence using dma fence signal(), which warns if dma fence is NULL. This warning is triggered when a new kfd process is created and closed immediately after opening, as the fence is not initialized. The commit conditionally signals the eviction fence only when it is available, resolving the issue.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
