Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description:
The Linux kernel contains a use-after-free (UAF) issue within the
drm/xe/migrate component. Specifically, a flaw exists where a fence object could be freed prematurely, leading to a potential UAF condition if a fence wait operation is performed on the freed object. The issue occurs when an error path is encountered during the migration process. The fix involves adjusting the order of operations to ensure the fence object is not freed before the fence wait operation is completed.Recommendations:
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
