Description:
A flaw exists in the Linux kernel’s bridge networking functionality where a large
multicast query interval value can lead to a time overflow within the br multicast send query() function. This overflow can cause a loop, potentially resulting in a soft lockup, specifically observed in the rb consumer process. The issue can be triggered by setting a very large value for the multicast query interval and enabling the multicast querier on a bridge interface.Recommendations:
