7.8

High

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H

Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:

Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)

Description:

The Linux kernel contains a flaw in the mm/debug vm pagetable test where page table entries are not properly cleared at destroy args(). This can lead to stale entries remaining, potentially causing issues if another process allocates a memory management structure (mm struct) at the same address, resulting in a bad RSS counter state and negative pgtables bytes values.

Recommendations:

At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
