CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description: The blk stack limits() function in the Linux kernel contained a potential integer overflow when checking the chunk sectors value. The function checks if the chunk sectors value, calculated in bytes, is a multiple of the physical block size. This calculation could lead to an overflow of the unsigned integer holding chunk sectors.
Recommendations: At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
