Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Piotnet Addons For Elementor plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 2.4.31
Description
The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's Heading widget due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 2.4.31, update to a version higher than 2.4.31 to resolve the issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the Heading widget until a patch is available.
Restrict access to the plugin's Heading widget to minimize the risk of exploitation.
Avoid using the plugin's Heading widget in pages until the issue is resolved.
