Description
The Linux kernel contains a node refcount leak in the
tcpci register port() function related to fwnode handling within the Type-C TCPCI subsystem. This leak occurs because the node refcount is increased in device get named child node() but not properly decreased when exiting, leading to a memory leak. The issue was identified during device load testing with CONFIG OF UNITTEST and CONFIG OF DYNAMIC enabled.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
