Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
The Linux kernel contains a use count leakage in the regulator core when handling boot-on regulators. This occurs when a regulator device (A) configured with
regulator-boot-on increments the use count of its supplying regulator (B). This can cause regulator (B) to act as always-on, preventing it from being properly disabled, even if it is also configured with regulator-boot-on.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
