Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
The Linux kernel contains an issue within the DRM/STI subsystem where the return type of
sti dvo connector mode valid(), sti hda connector mode valid(), and sti hdmi connector mode valid() functions does not match the expected return type of enum drm mode status in the struct drm connector helper funcs. This discrepancy can lead to control flow integrity (CFI) failures when using clang's kernel CFI feature, potentially resulting in a kernel panic or thread termination.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
