CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A flaw exists in the Linux kernel’s md/raid10 subsystem that can lead to a soft lockup during write flushing. This occurs due to an unlimited number of plugged bio operations in raid10, unlike raid1 which includes conditional rescheduling. The issue can be triggered during writeback tests with ramdisks. The fix involves adding conditional rescheduling to raid10, mirroring the behavior of raid1.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
