Description A crash can occur in the hv pci restore msi msg() function during hibernation when a Linux virtual machine with an assigned PCI device runs on Hyper-V. This happens if the PCI device driver is not loaded, and MSI-X/MSI is not enabled on the device, leading to a panic because pdev->dev.msi.data is NULL. The issue is triggered when attempting to lock message signaled interrupts.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
