Description
The
propagate mnt() function in the Linux kernel contains a flaw where it fails to properly terminate when looking up copies of a source mount, leading to a NULL dereference. This issue occurs when handling mount propagation and can be triggered by unprivileged user namespaces. The vulnerability is related to the handling of peer groups, master mounts, and slave mounts during mount propagation, potentially causing issues with shared mounts and propagation trees.Recommendations
