Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
The Linux kernel contains a flaw within the network block device (nbd) module. A hung task can occur when a signal interrupts the
nbd start device ioctl() function while it is waiting for a condition related to the number of receive threads. This can lead to the task becoming unresponsive due to waiting for the completion of in-flight I/O operations. The issue is triggered by a simplified program that utilizes socketpair, open, and ioctl calls with /dev/nbd0.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
