VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The Linux kernel contains a flaw in the crypto/cavium module where an integer overflow can occur when loading firmware. The code length value, sourced from the firmware file, is used in a multiplication operation (ntohl(ucode->code length) * 2) that is susceptible to overflow. This could potentially lead to issues when processing untrusted firmware.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
