Description
A flaw exists in the Linux kernel related to the handling of PCI devices and simple framebuffer devices. Specifically, the
sysfb disable() function was not being called before removing PCI devices, leading to interference between drivers and undefined behavior. This issue manifested as reported modesetting errors, including RCU (Read-Copy-Update) stalls. The problem was introduced by commit 5e0137612430 and does not exist in the mainline branch.Recommendations
Update to a newer version of the Linux kernel that includes the fix for this issue.
