Description A slab-out-of-bounds read vulnerability exists in the brcmfmac module within the Linux kernel. This issue occurs in the brcmf get assoc ies() function when handling data from a USB device, specifically when the req len value is larger than the defined buffer size WL EXTRA BUF MAX during a kmemdup() operation. The vulnerability was discovered through a modified version of syzkaller.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
