Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A flaw exists in the Linux kernel where cleanup operations are skipped in the error path of the
remove callback within the IMX SPI driver. Returning early from a platform driver’s remove callback can lead to unreleased DMA resources, resulting in a permanent memory leak. This occurs when hardware disabling is skipped if waking the device fails.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
