Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
The Linux kernel contains a flaw in the
hisi inno phy probe() function related to an out-of-bounds check. The comparison within a for loop uses the > operator instead of the required >= operator, potentially leading to an out-of-bounds write during loop iteration. The array priv->ports[] is indexed by i, and the incorrect comparison allows INNO PHY PORT NUM as a valid index, which can cause issues in the subsequent iteration.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
