CVSS v2.0

6.0

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:H/Au:S/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The Linux kernel contains a flaw within the iwlwifi component, specifically in the iwlwifi: pcie: iwl pcie irq rx msix handler() function. This issue involves a potential NULL pointer dereference that can occur when processing receive queue (rxq) data. The vulnerability arises when rxq is NULL while trans pcie->rxq is also NULL and entry->entry is zero. A modification has been implemented to include a check for trans pcie->rxq to prevent this condition.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
