Description
The Linux kernel contains a vulnerability where a null pointer dereference can occur in the
ovl permission() function. This dereference is triggered during a specific process involving path lookupat, link path walk, inode permission, and ovl permission, ultimately leading to a kernel crash. The issue arises when ovl i path real() returns a NULL value for realinode, which is then passed to inode permission().Recommendations
