CVE-2023-53280

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The Linux kernel contains a flaw within the qla2xxx module related to an unused nvme ls waitq wait queue. A system crash can occur when qla2x00 start sp(sp) returns an EGAIN error code, leading to a call to wake up for an uninitialized wait queue (sp->nvme ls waitq). This results in a kernel NULL pointer dereference. The nvme ls waitq logic has been removed in previous commits.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
