Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Control-M/Agent versions 9.0.18 through 9.0.20 Control-M/Agent versions prior to 9.0.18 (potentially earlier unsupported versions)
Description An authentication bypass issue exists when using an empty or default kdb keystore or a default PKCS#12 keystore. An attacker with access to a signed third-party or demo certificate for client authentication can bypass the need for a certificate signed by the organization’s certificate authority during authentication. The Control-M/Agent contains hardcoded, expired certificates that are trusted as fallback when an empty kdb keystore is used. The default kdb and PKCS#12 keystores contain trusted third-party certificates for client authentication.
Recommendations Control-M/Agent versions 9.0.18 through 9.0.20: At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
