CVE-2025-39813

CVSS v3.1

4.7

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The Linux kernel contains a flaw within the ftrace subsystem. A race condition can occur when calling ftrace dump one() concurrently with reading trace pipe, potentially triggering a warning in trace printk seq(). This happens because data in the ring buffer can be consumed by other readers between checks for emptiness and finding the next entry, leading to an attempt to operate on an unpopulated iter.seq structure.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
