Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions InterSystems Caché 2009.1 (affected versions not specified)
Description A stack-based buffer overflow exists in the UtilConfigHome.csp endpoint of InterSystems Caché. The issue is triggered by sending a specially crafted HTTP GET request containing an oversized argument to the .csp handler. Insufficient bounds checking allows the input to overflow a stack buffer, potentially enabling an attacker to overwrite control structures and execute arbitrary code.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
