CVE-2023-53322

CVSS v3.1

7.8

High

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The Linux kernel contains a flaw in the qla2xxx SCSI driver where a system crash can occur due to a use-after-free condition. This issue arises because the terminate rport io function may exit before ensuring all I/O operations have completed, potentially leading to resource freeing while the driver still holds onto them. This is particularly relevant for Fibre Channel Protocol 2 (FCP-2) devices where I/O operations can hang in hardware during session teardown.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
