Description The Linux kernel contains an issue where an invalid max flowrings number read from a dongle during firmware initialization can cause a kernel panic when attempting to initialize the dongle ring via iowrite. The issue is addressed by returning an error when an invalid max flowrings value (greater than 256) is detected.
