Description A null-ptr-deref bug exists in the buffer prepare() function within the cx88 driver. This issue occurs when the cx88 risc buffer() function call fails, resulting in an empty buffer and a subsequent null-pointer dereference in buffer queue(). The issue is revealed through general protection fault logs and KASAN reports indicating a null-ptr-deref.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
