CVE-2022-50375

CVSS v2.0

6.0

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:H/Au:S/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel versions prior to 5.15.32-06136-g34eecdf2f9e4
Description The Linux kernel contained a flaw in the tty serial driver, specifically within the fsl lpuart component. The lpuart dma shutdown function failed to properly disable DMA (Direct Memory Access) flags, potentially allowing access to DMA APIs even after the DMA had been torn down. This could lead to a kernel panic, as demonstrated when attempting to terminate a btattach process.
Recommendations Update to Linux kernel version 5.15.32-06136-g34eecdf2f9e4 or later.
