Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
The Linux kernel contains a flaw within the md/raid10 subsystem, specifically in the
raid10 sync request function. A null-pointer dereference of mreplace can occur if a faulty state is set between two checks within the function. This issue arises from separate checks for mreplace without consistent updates to a related variable. The fix merges these checks into one and replaces a variable with its equivalent value to ensure consistency.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
