CVE-2023-53380

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The Linux kernel contains a flaw within the md/raid10 subsystem, specifically in the raid10 sync request function. A null-pointer dereference of mreplace can occur if a faulty state is set between two checks within the function. This issue arises from separate checks for mreplace without consistent updates to a related variable. The fix merges these checks into one and replaces a variable with its equivalent value to ensure consistency.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
