Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A memory leak was resolved in the Linux kernel’s shmem implementation. Specifically, the ramfs-based tmpfs was not correctly freeing memory allocated for its filesystem context (
fc->s fs info) when using the ramfs init fs context() method. The fix involves utilizing the ramfs kill sb() function to properly free this memory.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
