Description A data-race condition was identified in the Linux kernel's drain obj stock and drain obj stock functions, potentially leading to a NULL pointer dereference within the obj stock flush required() function. This issue was discovered through Kernel Concurrency Sanitizer (KCSAN) analysis. The root cause involves a potential race condition where the stock->cached objcg pointer can be reset between a check and its subsequent dereference. The vulnerability was reported during testing on version 6.3.0-rc2-syzkaller-00387-g534293368afa.
