CVE-2023-53415

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The Linux kernel contains a memory leak within the dwc3 USB driver related to the use of the debugfs lookup() function. Failing to call dput() on the result of debugfs lookup() leads to a memory leak over time. The issue is addressed by utilizing debugfs lookup and remove(), which handles the necessary memory management logic. This required refactoring to properly create and remove the root dentry for the debugfs directory.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
