Description The Linux kernel contains a memory leak in the mtk clk simple probe() function within the MediaTek clock driver (drivers/clk/mediatek/clk-mtk.c). Specifically, the memory allocated by of iomap() for the base variable is not released when an error occurs during the probe function, leading to a memory leak if clk data does not exist. This issue was identified by Smatch and also present in linux-next.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
