Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A memory leak may occur in the SCSI subsystem's SNIC driver if the
device add() function fails. Specifically, if device add() returns an error, the memory allocated for the device name by dev set name() is not freed. This is resolved by calling put device() to release the reference in the error path, allowing the name to be freed in kobject cleanp().Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
