Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
The Linux kernel contains a flaw within the DAMON (Data Access MONitor) module’s RECLAIM and LRU SORT components. These modules lack validation of user-configured parameters during application, potentially leading to division-by-zero errors during the calculation of
hot thres and cold thres when either sample interval or aggr interval is used as a divisor. The issue is addressed by adding validation checks to prevent the division-by-zero error and returning -EINVAL when it occurs.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
