CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A flaw exists in the Linux kernel’s memory management subsystem, specifically within the DAMON reclaim functionality. A division-by-zero error can occur in the damon reclaim apply parameters() function when a new DAMON RECLAIM scheme is created. This happens because the calculation of min age region uses aggr interval as the divisor, which can be zero in certain scenarios. The issue is addressed by returning -EINVAL when this condition is detected.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
