Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The Linux kernel contains a flaw within the drm/vmwgfx module related to cursor handling. Insufficient validation of the copybox size for snooped cursors could lead to memory copy overflows when handling userspace DMA surface copies, potentially causing system crashes. The issue stems from a lack of proper dimension checks during the copy process from the surface to the snooped image.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
