Description
A flaw exists in the Linux kernel’s ext4 implementation. A malicious fuzzer could potentially overwrite the ext4 superblock while mounted, setting the
s first data block to a large number. This can cause a block group calculation underflow, triggering a kernel crash. The issue was addressed by changing the BUG ON check to an ext4 warning to prevent kernel crashes.Recommendations
