CVE-2023-53466

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A memory leak was identified in the mt7915 mcu exit routine within the mt76 and mt7915 drivers. The issue occurs when the mt7915 firmware state fails, and the memory queues are not properly cleared. This can lead to a gradual consumption of system memory. The fix ensures that the mcu skb queues are always purged during the mt7915 mcu exit routine, even if the mt7915 firmware state function fails.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
